| Our
activity was born in the post-war period, invented by a bunch
of sailors in a period in which all sailors had a tattoo and
a woman in each port. |

The first tourists arrived in Riviera, and those rough sailors had
the brilliant idea to get them with their small boats to the discovery
of the beauties of the Gulf of Tigullio. And after that they were
so clever to think to join together all their efforts in order to
work together, proposing "adventorous" tours on board of
the first boats.
During the sixties and the seventies, the sea frontsof our vilages
became the theatre of the manoeuvres of the "Primero", the
"Corsaro", the "Riviera", the "Città
di Chiavari", the "Lern", the "Aldebaran",
and the "Ufo", boats which have made the history of the
marittime tourist transport and which have tickled the imagination
of generations of children and young people, resident and tourists.
The
"battellieri" of today are descendants of the old
sailors that in those old days founded the first unit of our
Company, unit which has been enlarged and improved to include
all the local operators of this field and to assume the actual
denomination in 1983.

 Today
the Consorzio Servizi Marittimi del Tigullio has its disposal both
the classic and comfortable boats in wood and the more recent boats
in fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) of different sizes, moved by modern
propellers in position to guarantes good cruise speed and therefore
to reach easily relatively far away destinations.
Tradition and experience rapresent the basis of our Company and
the guarantee, for the tourists who are staying in our area, of
the opportunity to enjoy tours to which you cannot renounce if you
want to fully enjoy the bauty of our vilages and the charm of an
unique landscape.
